IEEE Colombia has chosen Bogotá as the venue for the 16th IEEE Colombian Conference on Communications and Computing COLCOM 2023. This conference is the most important in Colombia that aims at presenting the progress and development of the academic, scientific and industrial usage of the different areas of telecommunications and computing. In this version, the main subject is «Challenges of AI-based telecommunications».

As the capital of Colombia, Bogotá offers a great variety of attractions, ranging from academic to cultural and gastronomic activities. This 2600m altitude city in the center of the country brings together the different Colombian subcultures. During the last years, Bogotá has become the gate to South America, and has experiences a large growth in the technology industry, supported by very high quality universities and research institutions.

We hope that government, academy and industry will take active participation in IEEE COLCOM 2023. Papers will be reviewed by an international technical committee under the IEEE standard procedure. Accepted papers must be presented in oral sessions, which is mandatory to be submitted in the conference proceedings (IEEE Xplore database, including ISBN).
